Concerns From your Neighbor Don…

I was asked to submit the following on behalf of one of our Hunt Club Neighbors, Don…

I wanted to let people in Hunt Club Forest know so they can be more aware. My truck on Broomsedge Trail had personal property stolen from it sometime in the night between 10pm last night and 5:30am this morning (Thursday Aug 19). A police report was filed. The items stolen were as follows: a Zune 30 GB MP3 player brown in color with a white silicone cover. Also stolen was a Tom Tom Go 730 GPS. My name and address is programmed in the “owner information” submenu of the device.

Yes, I forgot to lock my truck last night. I normally do, but was distracted as I was getting out of the vehicle (the daughters were engaging in sibling banter…) However, based on the nature of what was taken (and what surprisingly enough wasn’t taken) both the police and I believe that it was most likely some teenagers.

If you should see any teenagers wandering through the neighborhood at night, or anyone who looks like they don’t belong, don’t hesitate to call police! Lets keep Hunt Club safe and look out for each other.

Neighborhood Snowmen…

The recent winter storm brought us over 8 inches of snow, and a population explosion of snowmen…

Here is a small sample of the creativity…

Some were short …

While some were tall

Others were average….

Some appeared out of place…

Others where a bit more different…

Mysterious Picnic

With the following law in mind:

Section 1725 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code prohibits placing mailable materials like circulars and sales bills with unpaid postage in mailboxes with intent to avoid payment of postage.

Found this in my mailbox today…

The question I have is why didn’t the Victorious Living Church feel it necessary clearly identify itself…

Yanni’s Casual Greek

Well, I never made it to the Texas Ranch Steakhouse, I only heard a few good things when they first opened, and then nothing really good. I guess it never caught on, and about a month ago the Texas Ranch sign was gone and a sign for Yanni’s Casual Greek appeared. Before we moved to the area, we had a great greek restaurant near our house, and it was always a pleasurable experience to go to Aesops Tables, good food, good prices and good service, and it was one of the things we missed from home.

Driving by on regular basis, it was always impressive to see the number of cars in the parking lot, and asking friends and neighbors had they tried it, with enthusiastic replies of YES it is great. We had it on the top of our list of places to try, and Saturday we had the opportunity to give it a try.

We were lucky and barely beat the rush, and we were seated right away, in a booth that still had the friendly’s feel… I really don’t care about decor in a restaurant anyway. The menu has a good selection that should make just about anyone happy. The service could have been just a little better, but it was very busy, and I can handle that….

I had the pork chops, and I highly recommend them…

As good or better then the $30 pork chop I had in a fancy restaurant in Philadelphia…

Most entries range in the $10 to $20 range and everything we saw going by looked good.

If I were to change anything it would be to give Pita and Tzatziki instead of the usual french bread.

Go there you will like it…
