Dear Business Watch and Neighborhood Watch Participants,
As mentioned to some groups before, the benefit to Neighborhood Watch Programs goes beyond your neighborhood. It helps the City. As we revitalize the Neighborhood Watch groups that have fallen from Full Status to Partly Active or Dormant, I would like to invite you to one of the tangible affects of having a functional Neighborhood Watch Program in Virginia Beach. This event only occurs every three years and is a proud moment for the Crime Prevention Unit. I hope it will also lend light to concerns you may have on why we are so adamant about getting the Update sheets in every year. Overall I think it is your right to know and witness what all the hard work you have done to participate in the Neighborhood Watch or Business Watch program does for our community as a whole.
Below I have added a link to the DCJS CCPC web site. It is not mentioned in the attachment. Take a quick look at that page to see firsthand what the program is and does for the Commonwealth of Virginia and the City of Virginia Beach – thanks to you and your efforts.
